  My husband and I have wanted to visit this church for a while and we finally did. Well, it is different... They do not have worship at each service! The band played a song at the beginning of the service, another a bit later and a song at the end. At no time was the congregation singing. Worship is a huge part of church. How are they ushering in the Spirit without offering up praise and worship to the Lord?
  
  That said, the teacher, preacher, not sure what his role was. Again, this was our first time visiting. Anyway, he spoke on the 5 Love Languages which is something we are interested in. So that part was ok and he used scripture to reference also and a little intro skit was done, which was cool. That is what gets this church 2 stars.
  
  There were 2 people that spoke to us and that was the door greeter and another lady giving us some information packets. Just didn't seem very friendly and we can't get past not worshipping. Worship is spirit and in truth is what the Word says.

  Reading the other reviews of this church I have to agree with the majority. They are cutting edge in style using lighting, music and drama to pull the whole service together with the Bible lead ministering service. The minister himself is casual and down to earth. The only cage on stage had the drum kit. I highly recommend sticking around to get a true understanding of the church and the message delivered from the Bible.

  Preacher used profanity during the service and never quoted the Bible at all. At one point he said he wore his minister hat at church and when he left wore his worldly hat. The song service was so far out there I was trying to find a tie to worshipping God and couldn't find one. I will never go back. The Bible says to beware of false prophets and beware the minister at shoal Creek is not the shepherd I want to lead my family in Christ.

  It is an oasis of peace in a land of cynism and religious bias.It is what real church should feel like. It's about people, as they are, embracing and facing the challenges of humanity together.
